Light of the World

“walk with the light of life.”

John 8

Jesus spoke to the Sanhedrin.

“I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will walk with the light of life.”

“You testify of yourself, so your testimony isn’t true,” responded the Pharisees.

“Even though I testify of myself my testimony is still true,” said Jesus. “I know where I came from and where I am going. You don’t know either.

You judge what you see. I don’t judge appearances. If I judge anything, my judgment is correct because I am not alone in my judgment. The Father sent me, and judges with me.

It is written in the law of Moses that the testimony of two men is true. I give testimony of myself, and the Father also gives testimony of me.”

“Where is your father?” asked a Pharisee.

“You don’t know me or my father. If you did know me, you would know my Father also,” was all that Jesus responded.
