Jesus is the Vine
“I am the true vine.”
Jesus gave the parable of the true vine to His eleven devoted disciples.
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener of the vineyard.
Every branch from my vine that does not grow fruit the Gardner will cut away. Every branch that grows fruit, the Gardener will carefully prune to make sure it grows as much fruit as possible.
Live my teachings, and I will be with you. A branch on its own cannot grow fruit, unless it is connected to the vine. The same is true of you. Without me you can’t do anything.
If a man does not live my teachings, he is like the unfruitful branch is cut off and throw into the fire.
My Father receives glory when you produce fruit, and you will as my disciples.”
