In the Bible, in the Gospel of John, it says,

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made (NIV, John 1:1 – 3).

The “Word” was and is Jesus Christ. You can look at the starry night sky, realizing that many of the “stars” you see are actually galaxies. There are billions of galaxies. In each galaxy are billions of stars. All these were created by and through Jesus Christ. He comprehends them all, but He is also concerned about the smallest living thing on our own planet earth. He is so concerned about you that He listens to your every prayer and cares about everything in your life.

The Gospel of John goes on to say,

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (NIV, John 1:4, 5).

The light of Christ powers the universe, but it also abides in each one of God’s children. This is your conscience and the feelings in your heart and mind that make you reach for God.

God didn’t create the universe (or you) without a plan. Everything that we see physically was created spiritually before it was created physically (Genesis 2:5). Everything was created for a purpose. That purpose is your eternal life.

God’s house is a house of order. There is order in the universe. The universe is ordered for you to thrive and become one with God. You are created in His image. Jesus’ light is in you. Jesus’ creations are infinite and most of them we can’t understand. As we seek Him, His light grows in us. As that light grows, we understand more about His creations and His glory.
