The people surrounding the Savior on the mount were several of the disciples who would lead the way through the narrow path.
“Enter the narrow gate,” He said. “The path that leads to destruction is wide and broad, and many enter that gate.”
Christ saw the righteous desire in the hearts of His followers and hoped that every one of them listening to Him on that day would choose the narrow entrance to eternal happiness.
“The gate is small and the path is narrow, but this way leads to life, and only a few will find it,” Christ ended.
