The Parable of the Unjust Judge

"Pray always"

Luke 18 Jesus commanded the disciples to pray always, then gave them the parable of the unjust judge. “There was a judge in a certain city that didn’t respect any man or God. A widow of that city came to him and asked him to support her in a legal case. For a while, the judge dismissed the widow, not caring about her fate. Eventually, he got tired of the widow’s persistence. ‘Even though I do not fear God or man, I will help this widow. She will continue to bother me unless I do,’ said the judge. He helped her not out of goodness or integrity, but to save himself from having to listen to the widow’s pleas. “If an unjust judge will answer his people to save himself,” continued Jesus, “then won’t God answer His people, who pray to him day and night? I tell you that He will answer them quickly.”
