The Parable of the Two Sons

"go work in my vineyard"

Matthew 21 After the Sanhedrin challenged Christ’s authority, Jesus gave them this parable. “A man had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’ “The son said no, but then he apologized and went to work. “The man went to his second son and asked him to work also. “This son said, ‘I will go and work,’ but then he stayed at home instead. “Which of these two sons did as his father asked?” The Sanhedrin answered, “The first son.” “I tell you, the tax collectors and harlots will enter the kingdom of God before you do,” Jesus told them. “John the Baptist came to you in righteousness, and you didn’t believe him. The tax collectors and harlots believed him though. Even after that, you did not repent and believe him later.”
