The Fig Tree is Cursed

"if you believe, you will receive”

Matthew 21 The morning after Jesus’ triumphant ride through Jerusalem, He was hungry. He came upon a fig tree outside the city walls, but its leafy branches had no fruit. “Let no fruit grow on this tree ever again,” He cursed. The fig tree immediately withered and shriveled up. The disciples were watching and were surprised. “The fig tree shriveled up so quickly!” one exclaimed. “If you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only have power over fig trees, but you will also be able to tell a mountain to move, and throw itself into the sea, and it will be done,” said Jesus. “Whatever you ask for in your prayers, if you believe, you will receive.”
