Matthew 6 “Our Father in Heaven will take care of you,” Christ said to His apostles. “Don’t worry about what you’re going to eat, drink, or wear. There is much more to life than what you eat or wear.” The Savior looked into the sky and saw a few birds flying in the air above them. “Look at the birds in the air,” Jesus said as He pointed up into the sky. “They don’t gather into barns, and Heavenly Father still feeds them. Are you not more valuable than the birds?” Christ looked off into the distance and thought about the flowers that covered the grass fields. “Consider the lilies of the field and how they grow,” He continued. “If God clothes the fields with those beautiful flowers, and dresses each flower more beautifully than royalty, don’t you think He will clothe you even more? Have some faith.” His disciples understood. Heavenly Father knows our needs and will take care of them. “First seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything else will be given to you, too,” the Savior stated. “Don’t worry about tomorrow or the days to come. Take it one day at a time, because each day has enough evil on its own.”
