Jesus Preaches the Kingdom

Will you be ready?

Luke 17 The Pharisees challenged Jesus by asking Him when the Kingdom of God would come. “The Kingdom of God will come quietly,” Jesus answered. “No one will say ‘Look over here!’ to announce it’s coming. The kingdom of God is among you.” Jesus then turned to the disciples to speak with them privately. “The day will come when you will miss having me here with you,” said Jesus. “There will be false Christs that say ‘Look over here!’ or ‘Look over there!’. Do not follow after these people. The Son of man must suffer many things and be rejected by the people before the kingdom can come. It will be like the days of Noah when the Son of God comes again to bring the kingdom of heaven to the earth. They went about their lives until the day that Noah entered the ark and the flood came. They were all destroyed. The same happened in the days of Lot. They did business and had feasts, until the day that Lot left Sodom. Fire and brimstone rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be the same when the Son of God comes. Remember Lot’s wife, who looked back. Whoever will try to save their life will lose it, and whoever will offer their life for my sake will keep their life.” “Lord, where will these terrible things happen?” asked one of the disciples. “The eagles will gather wherever there is prey,” was all He answered, referring to the abundant wickedness in Jerusalem.
